Co-Founder of Bleacher Babez

In May 2026, I co-founded Bleacher Babez, a Seattle-based women’s sports fan club with Katherine Johnson. The main goal of our club is to organize events to bring together fans of women’s sports in the Seattle area and to support our local teams.

Social Media

A key component of our organization is our social media presence. My primary responsibility is managing the TikTok and Discord, as my strengths lie in short-form content creation and community engagement.

Our current content includes infographics covering sports news and promoting events hosted by us , as well as short-form videos aimed at increasing club visibility, engaging potential participants, and promoting upcoming events. Our target audience are women’s sports fans, but we have noticed a large overlap with other creatives and the local queer community.

Examples of posts I have created to promote our club and its events, ranging from informational content to more lighthearted and informal material:

  1. Tacoma Galaxy Fan Meetup

  2. “Let Us Play” by Harrison Browne Book Talk

  3. Tacoma Galaxy Outfit Craft Vlog

  4. Storm Game Fan Meetup

  5. T-Shirt Collage Night

  6. Game Day Fit Check

Examples of posts that incorporate TikTok trends into content made for our club:

  1. What fans wore to the Seattle Storm game

  2. “First one to talk about ___ has to pay” trend— for PWHL draft

  3. Seattle Torrent— “Suns out, guns (muscles) out”

  4. “Favorite anime trend”— but about Seattle Torrent/PWHL

  5. “Put a finger down” challenge— PWHL expansion draft edition

  6. How our club started— Using “Stateside” audio

Event Organizing

So far, we have hosted the following events and meetups (including links to social media posts):

  1. T-Shirt Collage Night: Meeting in Cal Anderson Park, Seattle to DIY our own women’s sports merchandise.

  2. Sports Photocard Craft Night

  3. Going out to support the Seattle Majestics

  4. Fan meetup for a Seattle Storm game

  5. Fan meetup in support of Oops! All Goalies, a local hockey group

We are currently putting together other club activities for the near future, including attending games together, pre-game coffee meetups, craft nights, and movie nights.

Future events include:

  1. Tacoma Galaxy Game & Sign-Making Booth

  2. Book Talk for Harrison Browne’s “Let Us Play”

In organizing events, we apply the following skills:

  1. Creativity: We brainstorm and develop event ideas that are engaging and reflect our community’s interests.

Organization: We handle logistics such as scheduling, choosing venues, ensuring accessibility, and managing overall event planning.

Social Media: We create graphics and short-form content to promote our events, engage with the community through emails, direct messages, and comments, and monitor feedback to assess interest.

Budgeting: Since we are self-funded, we aim to plan events that are affordable or free, but are still enjoyable and worthwhile.

Communication: As Katie and I currently reside a couple hours apart, we are in regular contact to share ideas and plans.

Media Appearances

On May 29th, we appeared on the Oops! All Goalies livestream, hosted by Gloves Off Seattle, a podcast dedicated to the Seattle Torrent.
